The Cat Pumps Model 1050 is a powerhouse in the 15PFR (Plunger, Flush, Reciprocating) series. This is a solid-shaft, triplex plunger pump designed for continuous-duty industrial applications. Unlike the smaller high-speed pumps, the 1050 is engineered to run at a lower RPM, which significantly extends the life of the seals and internal drive components.

If the pump “starves” for water, you will experience cavitation, which will lead to a loud knocking sound and rapid destruction of the manifold and seals.
